Sunday 18th May:

Family Service at 6.30pm - God and Us: Knowing and Growing - followed by a cup of tea!

Sunday 1st June:

Family Service at 11.30am - Acts 3-4 - "Children's Day", led by the children of the congregation. Thank you to the children of the congregation and to all who have been helping them prepare.

Fit for Purpose 2014 / 2015

Some copies of the study booklet for the 'people of service and outreach' Bible study series, "All the difference in the world" are still available. Also, there is now the opportunity to borrow a copy of the accomopanying DVD.

If you weren't able to attend the studies in the autumn, or if you would like to work through the material again, check the table in the vestibule.

Church Exterior Refurbishment

The refurbishment work on the exterior of the meeting house is nearly complete, with the majority of the scaffolding now removed to reveal the new brickwork and pointing and the cleaned stonework.

The platform and handrail outside the rear door are now complete. A new, partly-glazed door has been installed to provide a safe exit from this part of the building.

The main stained-glass windows are being repaired, cleaned and fitted with protective storm glazing.

Election of Additional Ruling Elders

The Kirk Session has decided to seek the election of up to three additional ruling elders, and that the congregation should select those proposed to be called to the office of ruling elder.

Everyone connected with our congregation is encouraged to make this election of additional elders a matter for much prayer.

Special prayer meetings are being held each Friday in the Magill Room at 8.00pm.

Week of Prayer

Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.    Colossians 4:2

As the autumn's programme of work restarts, there is an opportunity each evening this week to gather for a time of prayer. We will meet Monday 1st - Friday 6th September at 8.00pm in the Magill Room.

Special prayer meetings will continue each Friday at 8.00pm in the Magill Room for the election of additional ruling elders.

Autumn Fellowship Weekend 2015

The sacrament of the communion of the Lord's Supper will be celebrated here at the end of the morning service on Sunday 1st November, in the context of our Autumn Fellowship Weekend.

Over the weekend we will be looking at Psalm 48 - Secure in God.

The programme for the weekend is:

Pre-communion service Friday 30th October at 8.00pm
Communion service Sunday 1st November at 11.30am
Celebration service Sunday 1st November at 6.30pm

 

Plan to come along and share in these times of fellowship around God's Word. Do note the times of prayer also!
