Sunday School and Bible Class

Start a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it. Proverbs 22:6

Each Sunday morning, during the church service, the children of our Sunday School leave after the children's address to meet in the Hagan Room. They return to the meetinghouse during the last hymn to finish the service as a church family.

In Sunday School, the theme of the children's address is carried on, expanding and reinforcing the message by means of craft or memory verses. There may perhaps be another story, or even some songs and games.

Bible Class

After the children's address, our young teens move to the Minister's Room for the Bible Class. The atmosphere there is a little more informal and they are encouraged to interact and discuss the Bible passage. There may even be some juice and biscuits! Again, the young teens rejoin the church service during the last hymn.

Coming Up...

Sunday School continues during the morning services.

In February the boys and girls will be following the story of Jesus and His friends in Bethany from John 11. Then until Easter they will be looking at the events that took place leading up to Jesus' death and resurrectioin. During May they will be thinking through the theme of 'Becoming like Jesus'.

Lockdown Messages

Remembering Sunday School

As the lockdown restrictions continue to ease, we are at the time when this session of Sunday School would have finished. The girls and boys have shared some pictures of their favourite stories from Sunday School this year.

Bible Class

Our young people of Bible Class share what God has meant to them during lockdown.
