Sunday School and Bible Class

Start a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it. Proverbs 22:6

Our Sunday School and the Bible Class meet in the Church Hall at 10.30 am each Sunday morning, before our morning service.

We normally start in the Magill Room with an opening prayer and then a time of praise, singing some old and some new choruses. After that the children move to the main hall, splitting into different classes depending on their age. After hearing the Bible story, the children complete a worksheet which may include a craft item or require some colouring in.

We use the Go Teach Bible teaching material in our Sunday School classes. From September this year, we shall be looking at God's work of creation and also seeing our need for Jesus.

Bible Class

After the opening prayer, our young teens move to the Jenkins Room for the Bible Class. The atmosphere there is a little more informal and they are encouraged to interact and discuss the Bible passage. There may even be some juice and biscuits!

Youth and Children's Project

We support the work of the PCI Youth and Children's Project each year through our weekly collections. For 2018/2019, the project is entitled 'Foundations'. It focuses on the work of the United Bible Training Centre in Pakistan and Kilmount Presbyterian Church in the Monaghan Presbytery. The project will be equipping these places to build the foundations of our faith in children and young people through evangelism and discipleship training.

We gather together to express our praise of God, to encourage our partners in the faith

and to exercise our priesthood in prayer
