Ladies' Group

Welcome to our Ladies' Group page.

We normally meet on the second Thursday of each month at 8pm in the Church hall.

The Ladies' Group is open to ALL women, young and not so young, who want to escape from normal everyday life for an hour or so each month to meet with friends to enjoy some well-needed rest and relaxation, Christian fellowship and Bible teaching.
We are part of Presbyterian Women, an organisation for women within the Presbyterian Church in Ireland - follow Presbyterian Women on Facebook.

The Ladies’ Group plays a vital role in coordinating "get together" events for our whole church family and gives prayerful, practical and financial support to the wider mission of PCI.

God ever presentThe theme for 2025/26 is 'God ever present'.

Over the past few years, we have seen God shaping and moulding us. He desires to see us drawing alongside and encouraging one another, and deepening our friendships, not only with each other but ultimately with him. In Romans 12:10 the Lord instructs us to, “Be devoted to one another...” while in Romans 12:2 we are reminded, “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.” We have also been reminded of our responsibility to share that which God has entrusted to us - “… from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked” (Luke 12:48).

Our theme for this year is 'God ever present' and is based on the key verse from Psalm 46:1,

'God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.'

This is one of the best-known and most comforting verses in the Bible. Taking refuge can sound vulnerable and weak and yet, in the same sentence, strength is mentioned. We are not to forget how powerful our God is and that he will strengthen us. “An ever-present help in trouble” leaves us in no doubt that God is there for us.

Tuesday Fellowship

Our Tuesday Fellowship, or "Midweek" as it is sometimes called, is held on Tuesday evenings at 8.00pm from September to May.

Our Minister usually conducts the meetings on three Tuesdays of the month, when he invites folk to follow the Bible reading for that evening. Notes are then provided and the Bible passage is explained. After this there may be a time of discussion, followed by a time of prayer for the needs of the congregation, the local community or even the wider world.

On the first Tuesday of most months, there is an opportunity to listen to and appreciate the work of particular missionary societies through their representatives, e.g. EMF, WGM, Asia Link, CEF and Mission Africa. These societies are supported financially by the Tuesday Fellowship.

Outside of our Sunday services, the Tuesday Fellowship is a vital part of Christian learning and growing as we meet together to be taught from God's word.

Study notes from topics discussed at previous meetings are available here.

It's Time - Christ Our Everlasting Reward

CHRIST OUR EVERLASTING REWARD – REVELATION 22

This wonderful chapter does two things – it tells us what kind of future is coming and urges us to get ready.

The time has come – we have listened and learned;  it is time to leave behind the City of Destruction and set out on the pilgrim path to the New Jerusalem.

It’s time because you have to choose whose side you are on in the great battle of the universe -  are you a follower of the Lamb or a  captive of the great dragon? A citizen of the doomed city of Babylon ( symbol of the world) or a citizen of the New Jerusalem ( a symbol of the church)?

vs 1-5  - a word of revelation -  – respond because there is a new world coming

A world of indescribable life, beauty, joy and fulfilment – and lasting forever! One day God will make all things new!
