Sunday School and Junior Bible Class
Start a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it. Proverbs 22:6
Our Sunday School and the Junior Bible Class meet in the Church Hall at 10.30 am each Sunday morning, before our morning service.
We normally start in the Magill Room with a time of praise, singing some old and some new choruses. After that the children move to the main hall, splitting into different classes depending on their age. After hearing the Bible story, the children complete a worksheet which may include a craft item or require some colouring in.
The young teens remain in the Magill Room for the Junior Bible Class. The atmoshphere there is a little more informal and they are encouraged to interact and discuss the Bible passage.
We use the Go Teach Bible teaching material in our classes. Up to Christmas, we shall be looking at people Jesus met, thinking about who Jesus is and looking at the lives of Gideon and Ruth.
We support the work of the PCI Youth and Children's Project each year. For 2017/2018, it is entitled 'What is Church?' - helping children and young people in Zambia and Maynooth understand that they are part of God's church.
